California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) announced an impressive number of higher performing Covina-Valley Unified public schools to its 2013 Honor Roll.  The 2013 Honor Roll includes public elementary, middle and high schools recognized for demonstrating consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps.

Congratulations to the Covina-Valley California Business for Education Excellence Award Winning Schools:

Ben Lomond Elementary

Grovecenter Elementary

Merwin Elementary

Las Palmas Middle School

“Having high standards, effective school leadership, and staying focused on student academic achievement has paid off for these Honor Roll Schools,” said Lee Blitch, CBEE Chairman and past CEO, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. “These schools are an inspiration.”

The announcement was made on February 26 after an extensive analysis of student data for every public school in the state. Once again, Covina-Valley Schools stood well above the rest in getting students to grade-level proficiency and beyond. C-VUSD Schools have been recognized with this distinguished honor for many years. It is a testament to our committeemen to “Creating Extraordinary Futures” for our students.
