Covina-Valley Unified School District is committed to advancing the academic growth and achievement of our students through multiple programs designed to increase learning and academic performance. Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is one such program that has a high positive impact. Targeting underachieving students with high academic potential, AVID helps students increase learning, advance academic performance and close the achievement gap. This college readiness program has been a vital component and a driving force in facilitating student success and supporting students as they progress towards achieving their goal of going to college.
