South Hills High School to host an International Baccalaureate informational meeting for interested 8th and 9th graders.

On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, South Hills High School will be hosting an International Baccalaureate (IB) informational meeting.  IB is a prestigious educational program that promotes intercultural understanding and respect in our global world.  All parents, students and community members are cordially invited!  Beginning at 6:30 p.m., in MS-1, trained staff will outline the goals, objectives and benefits of the program, present information about the application process status, as well as provide training and preparation progress, with a primary focus on conveying  information to parents of present freshman students and those of potentially incoming students (grade 8 or lower). Discussions regarding the nature of the IB (costs, benefits, rewards, issues), and short presentations from several teachers regarding their potential IB course(s) will be followed by a Question and Answer session. We hope you can join us and share in this wonderful opportunity for our school, our students, and our community.
