LA County Bilingual Directors’ Association Recognizes C-VUSD for Service

The Covina-Valley Unified School District’s family is once again recognized for outstanding contributions to its community. The Los Angeles County Bilingual Directors' Association distinguished two members of our educational organization who have made a commitment to improve instruction, services, and advance the rights of English Learners in the district”.  Ms. Noelle D’Ingillo, a counselor at Covina High School is one of the deserving recipients and is described by Grace Lee, Covina-Valley Unified School District’s Director of Curriculum and Instruction, as “a tireless worker who dedicates a great deal of time and effort to provide the best learning environment for our EL students.  Noelle D’Ingillo is an exemplary model of an educator who advocates for EL students”.  She will be honored as an Outstanding Administrator.
Ms. Vilma Bowman, a vital and valued member of the Educational Services support staff, will receive the award of Outstanding Classified Personnel at the 26th Annual Recognition and Scholarship Event on April 20, 2013.  "Vilma has shown herself to be an outstanding classified employee and contributor to Covina Valley Unified's educational mission: to create extraordinary futures for all students" notes Grace Lee. Both Ms. Noelle D'Ingillo and Ms. Vilma Bowman were nominated by their colleagues for their contribution to English Learners.
