South Hills High School's Deaf Academic Bowl Team places 4th in Regional Competition
Posted on 02/18/2015

Members of the South Hills High School Deaf Academic Bowl team placed 4th out of 17 schools in the Western Regional competition earlier this month, earning them a spot at the National Deaf Academic Bowl, which will be held at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. in April. The competition was held at the Oregon School for the Deaf.  This is the first time in the history of South Hills' participation that the team advanced to nationals.

Participants answered a variety of questions in the areas of math, science, social studies, language, literature, the arts, current events, and pop culture.  The team will travel free of charge to the national competition as Gallaudet University is paying all airfare and expenses for the participants and coaches.

Good luck team members!
