With an interest in providing both college and career opportunities to C-VUSD students, the Trade Tech Academy at Fairview High School is garnering media attention with new class offerings.

Twenty-five students from Fairvalley are learning a trade in the new, popular welding class, which recently caught the attention of the local newspaper. The class is one of three, soon to be four, career pathways offered, which will allow students to pursue a certification in either welding, HVAC, electrical, and another trade yet to be determined.

With certificate in hand, students will be equipped to seek employment upon graduation. There is no cost to take the class and beginning in the fall, course offerings will be available to students from Covina, Northview, South Hills, and Fairvalley high schools.
